Maria Angelic (Gutierrez) Cardonita
August 10, 1980 ~ September 29, 2021

Funeral services for Maria Cardonita will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bala Sagili Jesudas officiating. A rosary will be held Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Maria Angelic Cardonita, daughter of Andy Louis Arturo and Patsy Ann (Madrid) Gutierrez, was born August 10, 1980, at Fort Sumner, New Mexico, and passed away September 29, 2021, at Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 41 years, 1 month and 19 days.

Maria attended school and graduated high school in Clovis, New Mexico. On September 9, 2006, she was united in marriage to Tommy Andres Cardonita at Clovis. To this union two children were born: Julius and Jordyn. They made their home in Clovis before moving with their family to Alva 8 years ago. Maria was attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University and was a family advocate for the Headstart Program.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was very active. Maria loved being involved with her children and all of their activities. She enjoyed baking for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Cardonita, of Alva; her son, Julius Cardonita of Alva; her daughter, Jordyn Cardonita of Alva; her parents, Andy and Patsy Gutierrez of Clovis, New Mexico; her brother, Andrew Gutierrez of Clovis, New Mexico; her sisters, Bobbie Airheart and husband Steve of Moro, Oregon, and Carmel Hanks of Clovis, New Mexico; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
