Winona Ann (Dennis) Capshaw

Winona Ann (Dennis) Capshaw, 82, passed from this life on February 21, 2014 at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma. Winona was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on December 5, 1931 to Earl and Etta Lee (Owens) Dennis. A Private Memorial for Winona will be held with family on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

Winnie, as she was known to family and friends, was a hard worker at any task she attempted but sewing was her special talent. She worked for Kellwood in Altus and Hancock Fabrics for several years and sewed for the public from her home. After suffering a stroke several years ago, she was able to retain her sewing abilities for some time after.

Winnie was the oldest of ten siblings.

She is survived by four sons, Larry Parrack of Mathis, Texas, Randy Caskey and wife Vicki of Blair, Lee Caskey of Altus, and Kent Caskey of Kansas; three brothers, Bruce Dennis and wife Karen of Hollis, Chess Dennis and wife Joanna of Amarillo, Texas, and Charles Dennis of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Reba Kay Reining and husband James of Panhandle, Texas; a sister-in-law, Sharon Dennis of Panhandle, Texas; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Kenneth, Joe, Don, Tommy, and Jerry Dennis; and one grandson, Clint Caskey.

Winnie will be missed by her family and friends.
