Gary Lynn Cantrell
July 23, 1940 ~ October 29, 2024

Gary Lynn Cantrell, 84, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this earth into the arms of his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, October 29, 2024.

He was born July 23, 1940 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Charles Earl and Ollie Kathryn Berry Cantrell. He later moved from Cordell to Macomb, Oklahoma where he attended elementary school and graduated in 1958.

Gary married Sue Hickman on April 12, 1962 in Macomb, Oklahoma. In 1963 they had a daughter, Angela. Gary and Sue moved to Seminole, August 1962. In 1967 they moved to Maud. Then in 1981 they moved to Shawnee, where he resided until his death.

He worked for Pepsi Cola for 27 years as a route manager, sales manager, and plant manager in Seminole then later in Shawnee Oklahoma. When Pepsi moved, he became district manager over Shawnee, Ada, and Lawton. After retiring from Pepsi, he worked at Harvey’s Chevrolet Cadillac for 20 years.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie and father, Earl; 1 brother, Belvin (BE) Cantrell; maternal and paternal grandparents, his stepdad, Roy Parks.

He is survived by his wife Sue of the home, his daughter, Angela and son-in-law Kent of Tecumseh, OK; sister-in-law, Lois Cantrell of Bethel, OK; stepbrothers, Earl Eugene Parks of California and Paul Parks of Washington State; 3 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home. Family gathering will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2024 under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. Per Gary’s wishes no services were to be held.
