Richard Dale Canoe, Sr., son of Felix, Sr. and Nellie (Canoe) Duncan, was born on October 7, 1958 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 20, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 62 years of age.
He loved his family, friends and family gatherings. Richard loved his trips to the casino and playing cards with friends. He was a loving husband, father and friend to many.
Richard retired from WalMart Transportation, Inc., Bentonville, AR after 28 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his Mom & Dad that raised him: Charlie and Annie Waters – Canoe, brother: Gene Riddle, sister: Marilyn Perez, sister: Janice Cheromiah, son: Richard Canoe, Jr., daughter: Rochelle Canoe, nephew: Brian Cheromiah and uncles: Fred & Andy Riddle.
Richard is survived by a loving and devoted family that includes his wife: Doris Canoe, of the home near Stilwell, OK, son: Kenny Canoe of Stilwell, son: Charles Canoe of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren: Kylan Canoe, Chelsea Sanders, Erin Anderson, Joshua Lawrence, Kylee Canoe, Christopher Canoe, Kynden Canoe, Kynlee Canoe, great granddaughters: Kayda Canoe, Karter Lynn Sanders, siblings: Bolo Duncan, Wayne Duncan, both of Bunch, OK, Cherokee Livers and husband Burl of Stilwell, sisters-in-law: Caleen Riddle, Andrea Jones, Brenda Locust, aunt: Tippie Drain and his friend that was like a brother: Eddie Northern.
He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
