Earnest D. Cannon
March 13, 1935 ~ March 25, 2013

ENID, Okla. — A family memorial service for Earnest Douglas Cannon, 78, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Earnest was born to B.C. and Tiny (Jaquess) Cannon on March 13, 1935, in Oneonta, Ala., and passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, in Enid.

Earnest grew up in Alabama, and then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

On July 1, 1953, he married Judy Gonzales in San Antonio, Texas. They made their home in Indiana, where Earnest worked for Inland Steel Mill for 35 years as a switchman.

After moving to Enid, Earnest enjoyed fishing and his McDonald’s coffee group.

He is survived by wife, Judy of the home; son, Eddy Cannon and wife Cathy of Enid; two grandchildren, Eric Cannon, and Kelsi Lynch and husband Joshua and their daughter, Kinsliegh; three brothers, James, William and Frank Cannon; and sister, Lottie Mae Nieters.

Earnest was preceded in death by one son, Michael Anthony Cannon.
