Celebration of Life service for Wanda Lorenz Campbell, 75, of Kremlin, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at United Methodist Church, Pond Creek, Okla., with the Rev. George M. Lupton officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Wanda was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Enid, Okla., to Forest and Tola (Hardy) Jenkins, and passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, after a battle with cancer.
She lived all her life in Kremlin, graduating in 1957, and earning her business degree at Enid Business College.
She married Sonny Lorenz Dec. 30, 1958, in Enid, Okla. Unto this union was born Monty and Marty.
Wanda worked for over 20 years for Southwestern Bell.
After Sonny's passing in 1982, Wanda took a job in Houston, Texas. While there, she met and married Bob Campbell on Nov. 11, 1994.
Wanda was an avid reader, loved working in her flower garden, doing jigsaw puzzles and never missed any of her kids or grandkids sporting events. She was a very proud mother, grandmother and Mimi.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Bob of the home; two sons, Monty and wife Patty, Enid, Okla., and Marty and wife Tina, Kremlin, Okla.; stepdaughters, Laura Campbell, Huntsville, Texas, Charlene Campbell, Tomball, Texas, Wendy Lucas and husband Scott, Spring, Texas; brother, Walter Jenkins and wife Patricia, Enid, Okla.; stepsisters, Linda Johndrow, Enid, Okla., Linda Handke and husband Butch, St. George, Utah, Nancy Ashton, McCall, Idaho; grandsons, Tyson Lorenz and wife Amber, Edmond, Okla., Hunter Lorenz, Stillwater, Okla., Brandon Smith, Phoenix, Ariz., Garrett and Gabrielle Lucas, Spring, Texas; granddaughters, Bridgette Nehring and husband Brent, Tulsa, Okla., Haylee Lorenz, El Dorado, Kan., Alysia Marshall and husband Matthew, Cold Springs, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brylee, Brock, Sofie and Addisson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sonny; stepsister, Connie Larson; and stepbrother, Gary Johndrow.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hunter or Pond Creek Fire Departments.
