William Alfred Campbell

April 29, 1920 ~ Sept. 19, 2003

William Alfred Campbell died in his Woodland home Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at age 83.

Born April 29, 1920, in Hugo, Okla., Mr. Campbell had been a Yolo County resident for 55 years. He worked for Pacific Bell for 28 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lorean Campbell of Woodland; children, Judy Root and husband Bud, and Wayne Campbell and wife Sally all of Pullayup, Wash., Robert Campbell and wife Denise of Fairfield, and Cynthia Campbell of Davis; grandchildren, Todd Root, Kurt Root and wife Michelle, Matthew Powers, Darci Soiu and husband Luke, H.D. Fonseca, Christine Hurlbert and husband Mark, Billy Turner and wife Asa, Theresa Campbell, and Gus Campbell; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Campbell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nightingale-Gilmore Funeral Chapel of Sacramento.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 13980 County Road 99W., Yolo.
