Memorial services for Robert Lee Campbell, Sr., 81, of Canton, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill and Pastor Lucas White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Robert was born March 21, 1934 at Chester, OK to Willis Floyd and Gladys Inez (Ake) Campbell. He departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his home in Canton, OK.
Robert worked for 43 years at the U.S. Gypsum plant at Southard, OK where he was a mill foreman. He also was a retired voluntary firefighter at Longdale, OK. He was a member of the Longdale Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed raising cattle, camping and spending time outdoors. He was an avid knife and gun collector, and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. His family lovingly remember him as a being 'sold ou' for Jesus.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Charles Gunsaulis; sister Delois Inez; brother Harold Campbell; two brothers-in-law, Dean Ward and Dwaine Schafer.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Campbell; son Robert Campbell, Jr. and wife Janice, daughter Cheryl Williams and husband Les, daughter Terry Campbell, daughter Linda Gunsaulis and husband Randy, daughter Lisa French and husband Keith, daughter Brenda Palacios and husband Elio and son Bentley Barker; grandchildren Jeanne Berry, Jeff Campbell & wife Bri, Janna Campbell, Kris & Brian Gunsaulis, Jessica Scott & husband Cody, Jeremy French & wife Breanna, Tommy, Salee, Maima, Kou & Martaline French, Alex Hysell & husband Kolby, Brianna Palacios & friend Dillon; great-grandchildren Landon, Cayleigh, & Emily Campbell, Draden, Jacoby & Evangeline Gould, Saige, Ridge, Lily Jo & Finley Scott; sisters Betty Ward and Jane Campbell; brother James Campbell and wife Dorothy; brother-in-law Delbert Schafer and wife Karen and sister-in-law Lucina Schafer; numerous nieces and nephews;
Memorials may be made to the Longdale Baptist Church or the Canton Christian Church with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
