STRONG CITY BOY KILLED IN ACTION
Ira S. Campbell, living near Strong City, was killed in action in France on August 30, 1918.
Ira was highly respected and honored by all who knew him. As a token of his love and consideration for his father and mother, he had his life insuranced by the goverment in favor of his parents for the sum of 10,000.00. The entire community extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
The Strong City Camp of the Modern Woodmen of America of which he was a member, has passed the following resolutions:
IRA S. CAMPBELL
Whereas it has pleased Almighty God to remove from our fellowship, neighbor Ira S. Campbell, who died fighting for his flag and country on the battlefields of France, and whereas we feel the great loss this neighbor's death has caused us all, we humbly bow to the will of Him who does all things well.
Therefore, be it resolved by Strong City Camp No. 11805 M.W.A. that we tender our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the father and mother of our deceased neighbor, and be it further resolved that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the camp and dully published in the Strong City Herald.
