Dorthe Ann (Erickson) Campbell

Mrs. Dorthe Ann Campbell, 79, of Bartlesville, died at 2:33 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville.

Private family services will be held at a later date and cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

The family suggests that in memory of Mrs. Campbell, donations may be made in her name to the Bartlesville Public Library.

Mrs. Campbell was born at Chanute, Kansas on January 11, 1937 the daughter of Nathan and Cleo Erickson. She grew up on a farm at Benedict, Kansas and graduated from high school there. She later attended Independence Community College where she earned her Associates degree. She was married to Robert Campbell at Independence, Kansas in 1960 and they made their home in Independence. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death in 1999 and Mrs. Campbell continued her home in Independence until moving to Bartlesville to make her home in 2004. She enjoyed crafts such as knitting and quilting, tatting, reading, attending estate sales and library book sales and spending time with her grandchildren. She had also been active as a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary at the Independence hospital.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by one daughter, Cathy Shelts and husband, Bart of Bartlesville, one son, Richard Campbell and his wife Kim of San Antonio, Texas, a sister, Wanda Parsons of Washington state, and two grandchildren, Kelly Shelts and Keith Shelts.
