Charles Max Campbell

Charles Max Campbell
June 16, 1961 ~ April 12, 2010

Charles Max Campbell, 48, of Guthrie, OK passed away on April 12, 2010 in Guthrie. He was born on June 16, 1961 in Fort Collins, CO to Charles Knox Campbell and Mary Darlene Crabtree. Max later moved to Guthrie where he met and fell in love with Brenda Lee Spannus. They were married on December 31, 1980. He was a very hard-working, dedicated husband, father, and papa. Whatever he did, he strived for perfection, whether it was drilling on the rig or siding and building a house. He once told his family, "If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life."

Max was a true charmer and loved being with friends and having a good time. He gave the world to his children, and lived for his grandchildren. His kind smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Brenda Lee Campbell; father Charles Knox Campbell; mother Mary Darlene Watkins; three children Michela, Emily, and Harrison Campbell; three grandchildren Lexi, Layna, and Aliyah; two brothers Mike Campbell of Fort Collins, CO and Scott Campbell of Guthrie; and one sister Patty Deberry of Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
