Catherine Laverne (Albin) Campbell

January 9, 1867 ~ July 11, 1937

Catherine Laverne Albin was born in Coffey County, Tennessee, January 9, 1867 and departed this life July 11, 1937, age 70 years, 6 months and 2 days.

She moved with her parents to Texas in 1881.

She was married to William H. Campbell, May 29, 1884. To this union six children were born all of whom survive, Mrs. L. G. Gamble of Grimes; Mrs. E. D. Holmes of Salt Lake City; William E. Campbell of Washington, D.C.; Ira L. Campbell of Portales, New Mexico; Mrs. Carl Long of Grimes, Oklahoma; and Mrs. H. L. Isch of Sweetwater, Oklahoma.

Mr. Campbell preceded her in death many years, having died in 1908.

On April 24, 1932 she was married to John Albin of Sweetwater and he too, preceded her in death, dying January 10, 1937.

She joined the Church of Christ in early life and in 1931 united with the Assembly of God Church of Sweetwater which faith she kept to the end.

She was a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a true Christian.

She also leaves two brothers, J. J. Yell of Sweetwater; and Ellis Yell of Grimes; one sister, Mrs. J. M. Pilgrim of Mineral Wells, Texas; one stepdaughter, Allegra Easterling of Reydon; and a host of friends.

Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Pampa; Gray County, Texas.
