Amber Rae Camacho, 32 year old Woodward resident, died suddenly on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Woodward. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 in the St. Peter Catholic Church in Woodward with the Reverend Joe Arledge officiating. A Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the St. Peter Catholic Church. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
Amber Rae (Karpe) Camacho was born on September 23, 1982 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Richard Alen and Rhonda Faye Karpe. The family lived in California and Pennsylvania before moving to Woodward in the mid 1980's. Amber attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School in 2001. She was united in marriage to Salvador "Chava" Camacho on October 20, 1999 in Lipscomb, Texas. They were blessed with three children, Zebrick Salvador, Damon Salvador, and Devon Rae. She was the CEO of their household and was always taking care of everybody.
Amber"s family meant the world to her and she was one proud momma. She loved cooking, listening to music and taking care of her family. She read the Bible to her boys everyday. Amber always enjoyed getting her toenails and her fingernails done.
She is survived by her husband Salvador Camacho of the home; two sons, Damon Salvador Camacho and Devon Rae Camacho of the home; her dad, Richard Karpe and wife Gina of North Dakota; one sister, Lacey Jackson of Woodward; her Aunt Christy Casey and husband Chris of Woodward; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Enedina Macias and Manuel Camacho; cousins, Michelle Whorton, Macy Casey, Matthew Lovelace; Jeana Freeman, who was like a mom to Amber; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rhonda Karpe on August 20, 2003, a son Zebrick Salvador Camacho on August 1, 2002, and grandparents, Ronald Gonser and Delores Gonser, great-grandparents, Faye and Bill Horn.
