Bob David Calvert, Sr.

December 27, 1940 ~ August 25, 2015

Bob David Calvert, Sr., 74, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was born December 27, 1940 in Browns Station, Missouri to James Robert and Susie Elinoria Calvert.

Bob grew up in Columbia, Missouri and joined the United States Army in 1966. During his time in the Army, he earned a National Defense Service Medal, Expert Mortar, and Expert Rifle. He was discharged from the Army in 1972. After his time in the Army, he moved to Oklahoma and started his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.

Bob is survived by 14 children, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and his grandchildren: Lacey, Bailey, Shuni, Dallas, Nicolette, Jack, Jessika, Hunter, Stormi, Kegan, Karson, Faith, Laura, Bob III, Kailynn, Dillinn, Austin, and his life companion, Phyllis.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma VA Hospital in Oklahoma City.
