Raymond V. Callahan

June 10, 1923 ~ September 10, 2005

Raymond V. Callahan, 82, of Amber, Oklahoma, died Saturday, September 10, 2005. He was born June 10, 1923 in Drakes Prairie, Oklahoma to Benjemin and Elizabeth (Shook) Callahan. He was married to Bonnie Mable Allen on February 17, 1940 in Sallisaw, OK.

Raymond was an Army Veteran of WW II and worked as a laborer on the farm.

Survivors include: Wife: Bonnie of the home; daughters: Barbara Freedle of Broken Arrow, OK, Shirley Kay Hoffman of Little Rock, AR; sons: Ben Callahan of Denver, CO; Virgil Dean Callahan of Amber, OK; Wesley Callahan of Anadarko, OK; Billy Callahan of Amber, OK; Charlie Callahan of Sallisaw, OK; John Callahan of Bixby, OK; Frank Callahan of Chickasha, OK; nine grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren; brother: Bill Callahan of Hulbert, OK; sister: Juanita Brooks of Sallisaw, OK.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Rev. Robert L. Polvado and Rev. Randy Perry will officiate. Arrangements by Agent Funeral Home, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
