Mamie Isabelita Green Caldwell was born May 31, 1955 to Tmesia Green and Willie Johnson in Lawton, Oklahoma. At an early age she confessed a hope in Christ, she joined the Church of Christ under the late Reverend Stewart Thomas Green.
Mamie attended Lawton Public Schools and graduated from Lawton High School in May 1973. She enrolled in Cameron University and majored in Business Administration. After leaving Cameron University she enrolled in Great Plains Technology Center and obtained her LPN certification.
Mamie became employed as an LPN for Comanche County Memorial Hospital, and later she began working as an LPN for Crestview Nursing Home where she was later hired as a Charge Nurse. She later moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas where she worked as a cashier for Pathways Inc. In her spare time, Mamie enjoyed cooking, dancing, shopping, and reading.
Mamie was a woman of faith, wisdom, and strength. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. On June 25, 2020 she returned home to be with her heavenly Father.
Mamie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, SSGT Debraca (John) Williams and Lieux’Rita (Bennie) McDonald; grandchildren Zhane' (Donyel) Porter, De-Jhon Williams, Kennedi Mitchell, Robert Gilliam, Jr.; great grandchildren Milan Mcleod and MaKri Allen; siblings Jacquelyn Green, Boris (Peola) Green, Cedric C. Green, Pastor Robert E. (Cynthia) Green, and Tina Green; a Special Friend, Junious Oliver; special nieces Brittany Brown and Anjail Coppage, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mamie was preceded in death by her parents Tmesia Green and Willie Johnson, her grandparents Rev. S.T. Green and Geeva (Robertson) Green, a grandson, Justin Cameron Mitchell, Jr., her siblings Jesse Howell Green, Jeanna Mae Green Bailey, her aunts Beverly Perry and Doris Jean Green, her uncles, Stewart Thomas, III, Edward Green, Wallace Green, Frederick Green, Sr. and Samuel Keith Green.
