Jacob B. Calder

February 11, 1842 ~ January 7, 1927

Jacob B. Calder was born in Jefferson County, Ohio, February 11, 1842 and died January 7, 1927 at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 27 days.

Grandpa was united in marriage to Margaret E. Vincent, November 23, 1872, who preceded him in death. To this union were born six children who are Cora M. Sharp of Mountain View, Missouri; John H. and Ward E. Calder of Durham, Oklahoma; Dwight V. Calder of Drumright, Oklahoma; and one boy and girl who preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his death four children, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

Grandpa Calder was converted in youth and united with the Presbyterian church of which he was a member until his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Calder lived in Ohio in early life, moving to Hall County, Nebraska and homesteading in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma in 1901.

He passed away at the home of his son John Calder, west of Durham.
