Stanford Gayle Cain

Stanford Gayle Cain
Age 92 ~ January 19, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Stanford Gayle Cain, announce his passing on January 19th, 2018 in Modesto, CA at the age of 92.

A native of Hennessey, Gayle graduated from Hennessey High in 1942 and was drafted in 1943 where he served his country in the Mighty Eighth Army Air Force.

When the war ended, Gayle went on to receive his Bachelors (1948) and Masters (1950) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma A&M, now OSU.

Gayle's 35-year career with Sandia Corporation took him and his beloved wife Wanda and two young daughters from Wisconsin to New Mexico and all the way to Livermore, California where, in 1988, he retired.

Gayle is survived by daughters Deborah Millaway (James) and Vickie Nervino (David), grandchildren Blake Nervino (Allison); Jessica Nervino, Jack Millaway (Ellye), brothers-in-law Dene States (Wanda) and Joe States (Maydona), sisters-in-law Linda Olmstead and Melva Drury (Bill), and more loving nieces and nephews in Oklahoma than can be named.

He is preceded in death by his father Jack Cain, mother Nora Cain, sister Kathleen Hobbs, and brothers, A.B. Cain, Vern Cain, and Willey Cain. Gayle's loving wife Wanda Jean States passed away in October 2015, after nearly 67 years of marriage. Gayle will rejoin Wanda when he is interred at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on February 13, 2018.
