Forrest Van Cain

Forrest Van Cain
October 1, 1970 ~ May 9, 2023

Forrest began this life on October 1, 1970, in Sherman, TX, the son of Richard and Rowena (Hicks) Cain. He grew up and attended schools in Marietta, graduating with the Class of 1988. Forrest was very proud of the fact that he was the first ever male cheerleader at Marietta High School. He was very proud of his school and community and even though he left Marietta years ago, he could often be seen in the latest Marietta High School apparel. After high school, Forrest went on to attend college. Although it isn’t where he started, Forrest was very proud of the fact that he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with his bachelor’s degree in business and computer science. He was employed by the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center as a computer operator and instructor.

Forrest was preceded in death by his mother, Rowena “Ro” Cain. Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Richard Cain of Marietta; brother, Wesley Cain and wife Kristin of Burneyville, OK; nieces and nephews, Brianna Paul, Logan Paul, and Hunter Cain; and a host of other family and close friends.

A video keepsake is available through the funeral home.
