Vearl Daniel Caid, 77, of Ponca City, OK, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2023, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Taylor officiating. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 10:45 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Vearl was born on September 3, 1946, in Carnegie, OK, to Wilbur and Marjorie (Rains) Caid. He graduated from Charleston High School, Charleston, MO, then attended Murray State University in Murray, KY, graduating in 1969. He went on to receive a Masters Degree from Southeast Missouri University. He married Diane Finley on August 11, 1968, in Charleston, MO. Vearl was the Executive Director for Northern Oklahoma Youth Services. He was also a member of the International Colman Collectors Club - Lantern Lighting and was also veteran of the US Navy.

Vearl is survived by: wife, Diane, of the home; daughters, Susan Caid Adkins and her husband, Kevin, of Oklahoma City, OK, Laura Caid Glowacki and her husband, Jay, of Ponca City, OK, Alison Caid Nobs and her husband, Lowen of Yukon, OK; brothers, Earl David Caid and his wife, Patti, of Cape Girardeau, MO and Daryle Wayne Caid and his wife, Mary, of Charleston MO; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Champlin, Justin Glowacki, Caid Glowacki, Logan Champlin,Colby Glowacki, Jay Michael Glowacki, Taber Adkins and Daniel Morrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northern Oklahoma Youth Services, 2203 N Ash St, Ponca City, OK 74601 or New Bethel Baptist Church, 731 N 407th Road, Charleston, MO, 63834.
