Debra Lynn (Denton) Bynum

December 01, 1964 ~ December 23, 2018

Debra Lynn Bynum age 54 of Wayne, OK, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 at her home.  

She was born December 1, 1964 in Big Spring, Texas.   She was the oldest of six children born to Rexie Wayne Denton and Barbara Ann (King) Denton.   Debra was raised by her stepfather Randell Hull and mother, Barbara.   She grew up in three different communities in West Texas, Big Spring, Odessa and Abilene.   Debra later married and raised two sons, Rodney and Tim. She moved to Yukon, OK, in 1995 and soon met her husband to be, Shannon Bynum. They later married and moved to Wayne, OK, in 2014.

Debra worked as a waitress, in Medical Services at Manor Care in Norman, OK and at Lamon Lusk Veterans Home in Big Spring . While living in Wayne she worked at Jo's Pizza in Purcell. Debra loved her job and her customers loved her. She had a great personality, she was happy and fun to be around.   When not working, Debra liked to stay in touch with her siblings, spend time with her husband and listen to music.   She also liked to sing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by:
Grandparents,                     Newton King, Jr. and Gracie Mae King
Mother,                                 Barbara Ann Hull,
Sister,                                     Teresa Ann Denton.

She is survived by:
Husband,                               Shannon Bynum of the home in Wayne, OK.
Step father,                            Randell Hull of Big Spring, TX.
Father-in-law and Mother-law, Bill and Sherry Bynum of Norman, OK.
Two sons,                              Rodney Thomas and wife Amanda of OKC,
                                                Tim Thomas of Abilene, TX.
Two brothers,                       David Daniel Denton and wife Kari of Big Spring, TX,
                                                Rex Wayne Denton Jr. of Midland, TX,
Two sisters,                           Wyvett Denton of Big Spring, TX,
                                                Cindy Corgil and husband Rodney of Midland, TX.
One sister-in-law,                 Krystyn Richardson and husband John of Norman, OK.
Three grandchildren,           Daniel, Christian and Samuel.

Memorial services will be held 3:00pm Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Bible Methodist Church, 1100 SW 57th, Oklahoma City, OK.

Local arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell, OK.
