Helen "Agnes" Buttman, 78, passed away on September 27, 2017 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN in her sleep from complications due to an infection.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the Caney Valley Elementary School Gymnasium, in Ochelata, OK. Reverend Charles Cunningham will officiate. There will be a potluck after the services at the Ochelata Senior Center.
Helen was born on June 9, 1939 to Minard William and Mary Irene (Eastman) Young in Washington County, OK. She was an LPN until she retired.
She is survived by her sister Melata Virden (Young) and her daughters Wendy Abney (Roberts) and Damon Kidd, Mabel Smith (Buttman) and Chris King, and Helen Margrette Buttman. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Jeromy Sanders, Patrick Sanders, Christopher Wood, Tamara Eggleston (Buttman) and her husband Joshua Eggleston, Johnathan Buttman, Kandice Saur (Smith) and her husband Drew Saur, Brando Smith, and John Leo Smith, as well as her 3 great grandchildren Logan Eggleston, Sarah Saur, and Diannah Saur.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and her daughter Tena Lea Buttman.
In lieu of flowers make memorial donations in Helen's name to the American Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
