Cyndi Buterbaugh, age 49 of Purcell, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Purcell Municipal Hospital. Cynthia Diane Enox was born January 30, 1968 in Purcell, OK, the younger of two children born to Harold Dean and Nancy Lou (Perigo) Enox.
Cyndi was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the Dragon class of 1986. On May 20, 1989, Cyndi married her best friend and the love of her life, Doug Buterbaugh. They chose to remain at home in Purcell where together they raised 2 daughters, Haydin and Kylie. Cyndi loved people, and had a very caring and generous spirit. She was always interested in cosmetology and eventually earned her license, and later earned her Home Health Aid License. She dedicated her life to caring for others in need of comfort care. In 1999, Cyndi was diagnosed with MS, and as her health declined, she was forced to medically retire. Every day would bring new challenges for Cyndi, but she faced them with courage and determination. Cyndi cherished her family. She was a wonderful wife; a proud mother and a caring daughter, sister and aunt. She was a good friend to many and will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her father, Harold Enox.
Cyndi leaves behind: Her husband, Doug Buterbaugh of the home; Her daughters, Haydin and Kylie Buterbaugh, both of Del City; Her mother, Nancy Richardson and husband Dale of Purcell; Brother, Bruce Enox and wife Sheri of Purcell; Her grandmother, Elizabeth Perigo of Purcell and A host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Cyndi’s Life is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Purcell.
