Lynne Adams Bussell
September 6, 1940 ~ January 1, 2023

The celebration of life for Lynne Adams Bussell is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the Christ United Methodist Church under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Lynne was born September 6, 1940, and passed away January 1, 2023.

Born September 6, 1940, in Lyons, Kansas, Lynne Adams Bussell was a graduate of Lyons High School and received a Bachelor's in Music Education in 1963 and a Masters in 1982 from Phillips University.

She worked as a public relations director for Cherokee Strip Girl Scout Council, a preschool teacher at the YWCA, Children's Day Out director and elementary instrumental music teacher. Lynne retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Health Eldercare Program as coordinator from 1990-2003.

Lynne's civic and faith-based service continued throughout her life as she championed many causes that supported unity and inclusion in religion, education, and life, freely sharing her belief that "all means all."

Lynne is survived by her daughter, Dana Spradling of Norman; two sons, Kyle Bussell of Stillwater and Clay Bussell and wife Francine of Stillwater; along with grandchildren, David Spradling IV, Rachel Hall, Reanne, Rieley, and Rhanda Wagner; and great-grandchildren Abigail, Caleb, and Jaxson.

Please join Lynne's family for her celebration of life January 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Christ United Methodist Church. Wear joyful colors and stay for a reception with visiting and story-telling following the celebration.

Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the Phillips University Legacy Foundation, 2615 E. Randolph, Enid, OK 73701.
