Mark Lee Bushnell
March 30, 1953 ~ March 30, 2021

Mark Lee Bushnell was born March 30, 1953 to Charles and Joan (Shaffer) Bushnell in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life after a short battle with cancer on March 30, 2021 at his home in Medford, Oklahoma.

Mark was raised in Jefferson, OK and attended Jefferson Grade School; he transferred to Pond Creek where he graduated in 1971. He was active in FFA and band and was a proud Drum Major. After graduation, he attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK. During his life, he worked in the oil and gas industry as well as long-haul livestock transportation.

Mark loved camping and canoeing with his kids and grandkids on the Illinois River in Tahlequah, OK. He enjoyed collectables and antiques as well as traveling and meeting new people. He was fortunate enough to experience an Alaskan cruise, a great adventure to Puerto Rico and a trip he took alone years ago to Australia. He never met a stranger; he loved to laugh and make others laugh. Even in difficult times, Mark would find the bright side and bring a smile to your face.

He is survived by his mom, Joan of Enid, his brothers Bruce and wife Barbara of Independence, KS and Kevin and wife Kim of Pond Creek; his children Melisa and Tony Aebi of West Fork, AR and Eric and Lisa Bushnell of Bixby, OK., Jackie and Josh Porter of Enid, also, his six grandchildren, Malorie, Madelynn, Kyler, Drea, Tylar and Elicia.

He is proceeded in death by his dad, Charles and brother Carter.

Complete cremation care was held under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family will hold a private ceremony honoring his passing on the evening of April 10th. Directly following, at sundown, we will host a gathering with a fireworks display at his farm for friends to join and celebrate his life. Please bring your lawn chairs and drinks, no food will be served.

Our family would like to extend special appreciation to his hospice nurse, Wynn, for the laughter, care and joy she brought. Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Circle of Love, 314 S. Third, Enid, OK 73703, hospicecircleoflove.com.
