Born to Ralph "Warren" and Betty Sue Bush, Chris was a lifelong Enidite. He attended Enid Public Schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1973. Upon graduation, he worked as a draftsman at GEFCO, before beginning a 31-year career as an officer, and eventually a Sergeant for the Enid Police Department. He was a CLEET certified instructor, teaching classes in crime scene investigation.
Chris excelled at each of his hobbies: photography, golfing, painting, fishing, and playing guitar in numerous bands. He had a wedding photography business for many years, sold Bob Ross-style paintings, and taught guitar lessons. Many of his fondest memories were golfing with friends at Meadowlake Golf Course. Chris loved adventure, the outdoors, and vacationing with his family. After retiring from the police department, he enjoyed his lawn care business, tackling handyman projects, and taking his 5 grandsons out for ice cream. He was a great provider and family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Betty Bush; sisters, Sally O'Neil and Patricia "Pat" Maly; brother William "Bill" Bush; and father-in-law, Marvin Tehven. He is survived by his wife Sandy (Tehven); son Ryan and wife Rachel of Enid; daughter Miranda and husband Micah Felton of Broken Arrow; mother-in-law, Jane Tehven of Enid; sister Doris Langkiet of Great Falls, MT; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Mason, Reece, Beckett, and Jonah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
