Kenneth Ray Burton

Kenneth Ray Burton
May 22, 1931 ~ October 1, 2009

Kenneth Ray Burton, 78, departed this life October 1, 2009. He was born May 22, 1931 to Leslie and Ozie (McDaniel) Burton in Earlsboro, OK.

Kenneth was raised in Paoli, OK and was the eldest of three brothers.

Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Most of his working career was with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company. Kenneth was an active member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school worker. One of his greatest joys was acting as a greeter for many years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye; son, Roger; brother, Doyle and his wife Joanne; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Viewing will be Sunday, October 4, with the family greeting visitors from 4-6pm.

Memorial Services will be Monday, October 5, 11:00 a.m. at Portland Avenue Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Portland Avenue Baptist Church/Forward by Faith fund.
