Jane Eileen (Wheeler) Burt
June 28, 1947 ~ February 8, 2018

A Celebration of Life for Jane Eileen Burt, age 70 years, of Enid, is 10:00 am Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Enid First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Bruce Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 12, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jane was born June 28, 1947 in Enid to Joe and Dorothy (Williams) Wheeler and passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was raised in Enid and attended Enid Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1965. She married Gene Burt on April 28, 1980, and together they had three children, Chris, Kim and Greg. Jane loved racing and following Team Burt. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their various sports activities. She was also an OSU fan and never missed a football game. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed going to the casino from time to time. She never met a stranger and was known to everyone as "Grandma Jane." 

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dorothy Wheeler, and two brothers, Ronnie and Jody Wheeler.

She is survived by her husband Gene, of the home in Enid; three children, son Greg Burt and wife Becky, of Waukomis, daughter Kim Briggs and husband Ed, of Roland, IA, son Chris Johnson of Enid and daughter-in-law Alicia Johnson, of Medford; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hammons, Jessi Royal, Cody Johnson, Kaylee Curts, Emilee Briggs, Brinley Burt, and Grady Burt; six great-grandchildren, Adylyn Jane, Reese, Jax, Logan, Jase, and Charli; brother-in-law Everett Burt and wife Mary of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Carolyn Schwertferger of Twin Falls, ID; as well as many other family and friends.

Memorials in Jane's name may be made to Enid First Church of the Nazarene Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
