Betty Joe Burt, 90, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill, Oklahoma. She was born on March 21, 1933, in Garvin County, Oklahoma to the late Harvey Lee Fleming Sr. and Ruby Lee Chapman Kelsay. Betty was raised in Pauls Valley where she attended school. She married James Richard Burt Jr. on January 16, 1981, in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2009. She worked as a waitress most of her life. Betty moved to Enos and has lived the past 4 years in Madill. Betty enjoyed fishing and going to auctions.

Betty is survived by:

Daughter: Patsy Ann Sprouse and husband David, Madill, Oklahoma

Grandchildren: Denver Winchester

Ashley Bostrom and husband Marvin

6 Great Grandchildren: Penny, Piper, Parker, Lestasia, Blakeley and Laker

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons: Wayne Parnell and Joe Parnell, 2 brothers: H. L. Fleming and Elton Kelsay.
