Silo, OK- Patsey (Hoglan) Burns was born November 4th, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas to Richard Hoglan and Jolene (Wagoner) Knipe. She passed from this life on December 4th, 2022, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 68.
Patsey is a graduate of SOSU and was employed with Proctor & Gamble and Sunny Delight in the Quality Control department. Patsey enjoyed reading, learning new languages, traveling and being with family and friends. She was married to George Burns, who precedes her in death on May 18, 2012.
Patsey was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Christopher W. Allen; and brother, Richard Hoglan.
She is survived by her son, Scotty Allen of Silo, OK; daughter, Derinda Graves and her husband, Taron, of Tulsa, OK; son, Brandon Burns and his wife, Samantha, of Sayre, OK; sisters, Peggy Ervin and her husband, Kenneth, of Mead, Sheila Roland of Durant, and Sharon Metheny of Purcell, OK; aunts, Fay Dunegan of Kemp, OK, and Nell Manners and her husband, Buddy, of Calera; uncle, James Wagoner and his wife, Betty; grandchildren, Chelsea Howell, Tristan Graves, Karly Graves, Kimberleigh Miller, Bradley Burns and Adrienne O’Connor; and great-grandkids, Stella Howell, Emma Howell, Lathan Graves, and Thea Graves.
A celebration of Patsey’s life will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, Dec. 9th, at the Mead Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry Groce officiating.
