James Eugene Burkacki

James Eugene Burkacki
August 13, 1948 ~ July 14, 2020 (age 71)

James Eugene Burkacki, 71, of Elk City, Oklahoma passed away at Oklahoma Heart Institute on July 14, 2020 at 0143 hours. He was born August 13, 1948 in Mt Clemens, Michigan. He served the US Army in April 8, 1968 to March 24, 1970. He later exited the military and worked in the oilfield from 1970 to present time.

Jim was a man with a big heart and loved all of his family and friends. He enjoyed life and enjoyed every second hanging out and telling stories. He was a man who believed that all you have in your life is your name, word and reputation and that is what makes you. He was not a very patient man when it came to stupidity and common sense. Jim, Dad, as everyone called him, no matter if you were family or friend, will never be forgotten and remain in our hearts for as long as we are breathing.

Jim is survived by his mother, Naomi; his loving and supportive wife, Jean Burkacki; his four sons, Douglas Ray, John Dallas, Nick Dewayne and Eugene Anthony; his two daughters, Michelle and Margo; His Brothers, Jerome, Johnny, Don, Chaz, Ken, Gary, Rick; His sisters, Kathy, Susan, Reiko, Sharon, Mary, Linda, and Lisa; His seven grandsons, Lee, Adam, Tyler, Chandler, Anthony, Brandon and Dane; his five granddaughters, Kasi, Shelby, Ausha, Amber, and Clara; his great grandsons, Tyson, Hayden, Tatum, Silas, Derril, Jay, Ryan and Atticus; his great-granddaughters, Madison, Jordan, Mayleigh, Jaidan, and Gracelynn. He had many nephews, cousins and nieces that loved him dearly. He also had many friends and adopted family not listed that he held close and dear to his heart.

Jim is on his way to heaven to meet up with his mom, Beverly Jean and his dads, Eugene Anthony and Edgar Morris and his daughter Jennifer Jean.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 201 Lester, Elk City, OK 73644 on Saturday, July 18th at 11:00 A.M.
