Betty Jean (Harris) Burk

March 26, 1927 ~ Feb. 10, 2004

Betty Jean Burk, 76, of Oklahoma City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 at her daughter's home in Tuttle.

She was born on March 26, 1927 in Shawnee to Ben Sholar Harris and Lydie Augusta Talley.

Betty grew up in Oklahoma City and lived there most all of her life. She worked as a homemaker, wife and mother. She will be remembered as a multi-talented artist who enjoyed sewing, painting and gardening. Because of her failing health, she has been cared for and living with her daughter in Tuttle for the past four months.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Curtis and Gaylon Harris.

Survivors include one daughter, Gaylene Durham and husband Stephen of Tuttle; and two grandchildren, Nicole Durham of Tuttle and Joseph Durham of Warr Acres.

By her request, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Loving Care Hospice, 312 Cherry, Noble, Okla. 73086.
