Wesley Eugene (Gene) Burchett, 66, of Afton, OK passed away December, 23, 2004. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday Jan. 3, 2005 at Cleora United Methodist Church in Afton, OK.
Gene was born February 14, 1938 in Mesa, Arizona. After locating to Bartlesville, OK Gene graduated from College High School in 1956.
He was married in 1957 to Patty Boone who passed away in November of 2004.
Gene was employed as a CAD Draftsman by Phillips Petroleum Co. for 38 years before retiring and moving to the Grand Lake area in Afton.
He is survived by son David, daughter in law Joanna and his two grand daughters: Kaitlin and Kasey of Cumming, GA. Son Wesley A. Burchett of Bartlesville, brothers Monthie of Bartlesville, and Gary Nodine of Hulbert, OK and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meals on Wheels, c/o Cleora United Methodist Church, 451154 East 295 Road, Afton, OK 74331. Cremation Society of Oklahoma. 599-7337.
