Zella Mae (Burgess) Bunton
October 10, 1944 ~ August 21, 2025

Zella Mae Bunton was born October 10, 1944, to Joshua Cleve and Margaret Beulah Burgess in Bristow, Oklahoma. She departed this life August 21, 2025, at the age of 80.

Zella attended Bristow Public Schools graduating in 1963. Zella shared twenty years married to the love of her life, Fred Bunton. He passed away December 21, 2016.

Zella retired from Stroud Hospital where she worked in the administrative office. She enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, gardening, and reading. Zella’s true joy came when she was able to spend time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Grisham; two step sons, Brad Webster, and Shawn Bordges; six siblings, Robert Burgess and wife Jane, Elva Fargo and husband Asa, Angelene Gentry and husband Mark, Clifford Burgess and partner Glennda, Leona Chapman and husband Frank, David Burgess and wife Julie; three grandchildren, Samantha Gower and husband Brad, Leona Carter and husband Nathan, Levi Grisham; ten great grandchildren, Hunter, Jim, Bobby, Rodie, Libby, Claire, Jules, Larami, Camilynn, and Oaklynn; two great great-grandchildren, Wrennlee and Winston; as well as many nieces and newphews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one granddaughter, Mari Margarett Parrick.

Memorial services are 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Lamberson officiating.
