William Marvin Buffalohead, I
April 21, 1944 ~ July 10, 2012

William Marvin Buffalohead, I, 68, of Denton, TX, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Ponca City Medical Center. Billy was born on April 21, 1944 in Pawnee, OK to Henrietta DeLano and Robert Buffalohead. Billy grew up in Webb City with his grandparents, John and Clara Downs. He attended Shidler Schools.

Billy moved to Grand Prairie, TX in 1968 and married Vickie Jackson. Billy spent the next 40 years travelling between Texas and Oklahoma where he was seeing family. Billy worked in the oilfield in his early years worked in construction where he was a carpenter and later when he retired he was a house painter.

Billy was preceded in death by infant son William Marvin Buffalohead, II, one great grandson Michael, his father, his grandparents, sisterLila Tah and 2 uncles Thearn DeLano and William DeLano.

Billy is survived by 4 children Clara Sue Johnson of Springfield, IL, Carolyn Buffalohead of Springfield, IL, John Buffalohead of Ft. Worth, TX and Gerri VanScoy of Gassville, AR. Mother Henrietta Williams of Newkirk, OK, Sisters Roberta Phillips of Newkirk, Lynn and David Dunson of Okmulgee, OK, Cheryl Williams of Seminole, OK, Donna Buffalohead Grace of Ponca City, OK, Brothers Earl and Martha Williams of OKC and Frank Williams and partner Mary Starr of Newkirk, OK. Uncle Phillip Pappan of Newkirk, OK. 13 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Johnny Ray McCauley Gym on E. River Road in Newkirk, OK. With wake services Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. Traditional meal at NOON Friday, July 13, 2012 with Funeral Services scheduled at 2:00 p.m. at the Johnny Ray McCauley Gym with Pastor Rex Roberts of the First Baptist Church of Newkirk officiating.

Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
