Charlene Suzanna Buettner
July 6, 1957 ~ Sept. 13, 2023

 Charlene Suzanna Buettner, 66, of Kingfisher, passed away Sept. 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Charlene was born July 6, 1957, to Otto and Pauline Buettner in Okarche.

She was raised in Kingfisher and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1975.

She worked at Pioneer Telephone for over 24 years as an operator. After she retired, she opened a small bakery and was an excellent cook.

Charlene attended church at Frontline Ministries and enjoyed volunteering at His House Thrift Store.

She enjoyed crocheting and crocheted over 100 scarfs for the homeless.

She most recently took up quilting. She loved spending time outdoors watching the hummingbirds and was an avid collector of rocks from her loved ones’ trips.

Charlene spent her Friday nights playing cards with her friends but was always up early Saturday morning running around town hitting all the garage sales.

Most of all, Charlene enjoyed spending time with her family and always looked forward to watching her grandkids’ sporting events.

Charlene is survived by her children Frank Duffy and wife Rae Lynn, Mindy Kleckner and husband Jason, and Damon Parsons and wife Brooke; grandchildren Daxon and Traver Duffy, Justin, Logan, Dylan and Molly Kleckner, and Noah and Jonah Parsons; brother Robert Buettner whom she enjoyed taking drives with; sister Paula Gage whom she talked to on the phone daily; and her three closest friends, Tonya, Recea and Shawna.

She was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Jason Hux.

A service to celebrate the life of Charlene will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Frontline Ministries in Kingfisher.

Memorial donations may be made in Charlene’s honor to Massachusetts General Hospital Calciphylaxis Research Program, Frontline Ministries or Lomega Education Academic Foundation (LEAF).

Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
