Lester Dale Bucktrot was born March 30, 1972 to Wade and Evelyn Bucktrot in Claremore, Oklahoma. He departed this life November 22, 2023 at the age of 51 years.
Lester grew up around the Iron Post area South of Bristow. Most of his school years were spent attending Depew Schools. Lester worked many Jobs; his time as a Certified Nurse’s Aide was not to be forgotten. He was sure to tell you it was hard work. Lester enjoyed cooking and worked as a cook a time or two as well. Lester loved his family; his girls could always bring a smile to his face. Hanging out and talking with his brother and talking about his grandbaby was a constant for Lester. “You feel me.” He was an avid bike rider who enjoyed sewing as much as his sports such as, softball and basketball. Lester listened to Hip Hop and Roy D. Mercer; he could sound just like him. He was a member of the Sand Creek Ceremonial Ground enjoying his time spent there.
Lester is survived by his father, Wade Bucktrot of Tulsa; two daughters, Brittany Bucktrot of Wetumka and Erin Phillips and husband Cody of Bristow; his granddaughter, Ella Phillips; one brother, Arlen “Toons” Bucktrot of Tulsa; one niece, Makayla Bucktrot; one nephew, Michael Bucktrot. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Bucktrot; one grandchild and one brother, Gary Bucktrot.
Wake Services will be held 7:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2023, at Lesters home in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Funeral services will follow 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Okfuskee Indian Community Center.
