Benny Aven Buckley

May 2, 1939 ~ September 23, 2016

Benny Aven Buckley, 77, of Tulsa was born May 2, 1939 in Gainesville, Texas, the son of Thomas Archie and Zona Naomi Buckley. He died Friday, September 23, 2016.

Mr. Buckley was a resident of Marietta until 1985, when he moved to Tulsa. He loved to play checkers with his nieces and nephews, taking them for rides on his golf cart, and having them read to him. While in Marietta, Benny took his mother to the Eastside Baptist Church, where they were members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include three sisters, Ila Sue Dvorak of Marietta, Jeanene and her husband F.M. Bryant of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Sally Lou Roberts of Ardmore; several nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend, Anita Vandendool of Tulsa.
