Lisa Kay Buchanan
June 22, 1975 ~ March 24, 2020

Lisa Kay (Nichols) Buchanan entered eternal rest at her home on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at the age of 44. She was born on June 22, 1975 in Oklahoma City to Jerry Alden Buchanan and Deborah Kay Jones.

Lisa was a long time Calera resident and graduated from Durant High School. She was employed as a physical therapist tech. Lisa was married to the father of her children Rodney Buchanan. They shared 23 years and raised two children together. Lisa was a Christian woman with a huge heart that loved everyone. In her spare time, she enjoyed family get togethers, going to the lake and tubing, gardening, and mowing.

Preceding her in death is her oldest brother, Stephen Nichols.

Survivors include her children Alex “Al” and Ryan Buchanan both of Calera; her parents, Debbie and Jerry Buchanan; granddaughters, Ava Kay and Australia Rain Buchanan;brother, Michael Nichols; special cousins Victoria Bautista and Stacy Fields; four aunts, one uncle, numerous cousins and other extended family members and dear friends.

A come and go visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 26, 2020 from 6-8 PM at the family’s home in Calera.
