Carolyn Ruth (Knott) Buchanan

WAKITA, OK - Memorial service for Carolyn Ruth Knott Buchanan, 71, of Wakita, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Wakita.

Carolyn was born Dec. 7, 1942, to Tom Logan and Mary Olga (Masters) Knott in Enid, Okla., and passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Wakita.

Carolyn graduated from Billings High School in Billings, Okla.

She was a certified nurse and medication aide for more than 27 years before retiring from Wakita Community Health Center in December 2007.

Carolyn enjoyed writing letters and visiting close family and friends.

Carolyn loved all animals, but cats held a special place in her heart.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and two bothers, Michael and Roger.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her son, Greg and wife Stacie of Virginia Beach, Va.; stepson, Rodney and wife Joanie of Blanchard, Okla.; brother, Tom Knott of Norman, Okla.; grandchildren, Niki, Krystal, Jonathan, Jennifer and Matt; and a host of other family and friends.
