Waymon W. Bryant

October 7, 1941 ~ May 3, 2021

Graveside services for Waymon W. Bryant, 79, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6 in the Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas with Lyndon Lee officiating.

Born October 7, 1941 at Thackerville, the son of Beeler and Minnie Bell Beaver Bryant, he died Monday, May 3, 2021.

Waymon worked many years for Tyler and Simpson Grocery in Gainesville, Victor Industries in Denton, Texas, and as a self-employed farmer and rancher. He would always help those in need, offering many times to plow, cut or bale hay for others around the area when he could.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Day Bryant; parents, Beeler and Minnie Beaver Bryant; brothers-in-law, John Gardner and his sister Marcene, Hubert Perry and wife Frances, and Johnny W. Perry and wife Hazel; and daughter-in-law, Marcia McLaughlin.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Lou Bryant; son, Stephen Bryant; stepson, Tim McLaughlin and wife Lynn; grandchildren, Chris McLaughlin and wife Kaylee, Jeff and Justin McLaughlin, Leslie Browning, and Mandy, Staci, and Jessica Snow; great-grandchild, Gavin McLaughlin; and his niece, Sheril Barthold.
