James Russell Bryan, Sr. of Owasso, OK passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 in Owasso. He was 81. James was born on April 8, 1937 in Mountain View, MO to Russell and Ollie Marie (Denton) Bryan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Collinsville Church of Christ with Mr. Kyle Brewer officiating.
James served his country for four years in the Air Force. He worked as an Insurance Salesman until his retirement. In his younger days, James had a great love of sailing. He was a golfer and played often with his friends at The Greens. James and his wife Patti attended the Collinsville Church of Christ, where he was a former Elder and a volunteer worker in the Food Room.
James is survived by his wife Patti Bryan of the home; his children, Jim Bryan and wife Evelyn, Jackie Wallace and husband David; and Steve Bryan and wife Donna; 2 sisters, Sharon Brown and Mary Rubert; his grandchildren, Josh and wife Stephanie, Jacob, Katie and Noel, Matthew and fiancé Sara, and Sean. James was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Betty Stegall and Shirley Yadon; and 1 brother, Eddie Bryan Sr.
