Raymond Brunton of Tonkawa went to meet his Lord on Friday, June 25, 2010.
Raymond was born on December 31, 1918 to Raymond and Elsie Schell Brunton in Grand Summit, Kansas. He spent his younger years in the Tonkawa School System and finished the higher grades in Cambridge, Kansas.
Raymond was in the armed service in World War II, serving in the Air Corp in the South Pacific. When he was discharged, he returned to live with his sister and her husband on their farm south of Tonkawa.
Raymond met his wife, Delores Blackwell Brunton, they married and started farming south of Tonkawa in Noble County.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Opal Sipe two grandchildren, Jennie Yvonne Brunton Howard and Blake Brunton.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Johnnie Brunton of the home one
daughter, Susan Oswald of Crescent one son, Bill Brunton and his wife, Roma
of Stillwater one grandson, Kelly Jon May of Oklahoma City two great
granddaughters, Amanda McQuire of Washington, Oklahoma and Kaylee Swift of
McLoud, Oklahoma and two great great grandchildren.
We will miss our
loving husband, father and grandfather, but our memories of him will always
be with us.
A Celebration of Life service for Raymond will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Christian Life Church in Tonkawa. Please no flowers. Memorial Contributions can be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Ste. 103 Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601 or to Terra Nova Christian Life Church in Tonkawa.
