Shawn D.E. Bruner, age 51, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 4th 2021 at his home. He was born on April 23, 1970 in Pawhuska, to Guy and Janice (Striplin) Bruner. He graduated from Lyons High class of 1988. Shawn and wife Sabrina (Hunt) Bruner married on March 15, 2003 in Nowata. Shawn worked as the Chef/Production Manager at Ascension St John, JPMC of Bartlesville for 26 years. Shawn was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan, hunter, fisherman, woodworker and above all else a loving husband, father, papa and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Sabrina, son Chase of the home, Mark&Christal Reese, Bryan&Jaime Reese, Susan Luster, Chris Luster, William Luster. Parents, Guy&Janice Bruner of MO, sister Kim Bruner and Kevin Watkins of KS. Grandchildren, Blake, Addison, Kaelyn, Jenika, Kahlyn, Mason, Jackson and Anistyn. Nieces, Shelby, Skylar and nephew, Nick. Aunts, uncles, sister and brother-in-law’s. Shawn is preceded in death by grandparents, Dwight&Lee Bruner and Warren Sherk and LaWanna Albin.
Family, friends and others whose lives Shawn touched are invited to the Stumpff Funeral Home, 1600 SE Washington Blvd Bartlesville, OK 74006 from 11-5 on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8,2021 for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation in Shawn’s name.
