Bill Brummett

May 21, 1931 ~ April 2, 2002

Bill Brummett, 70, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Dumas Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Rodney Riggan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mr. Brummett was born May 21, 1931, in Shattuck, Okla. He married Dixie Manske on June 5, 1955, in Shattuck. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene and American Legion Post 9022 in Dumas.

He was a graduate of Shattuck High School in 1950. He was owner and operator of K-Bob's Steak House in Dumas. He was instrumental in establishing K-Bob's Steak House in Wichita Falls and Dalhart.

He had been a Dumas resident since 1974, moving from Amarillo. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debbie King and children, Chris and Tiffany, all of Little Rock, Ark., and Pam Duffer and children, Jennifer and Kelton, all of Grapevine; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Brummett of Shattuck and Aldon Brummett of Kemp; and a sister, Neta Lou Jones of Mustang, Okla.

The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. Second Ave., Dumas, TX 79029; or Society for Progressive Supernuclear Palsy Inc., Woodholme Medical Building, Suite 515, 1838 Green Tree Road, Baltimore, MD 21208.

The family will be at 405 Carson St. in Dumas.
