Wendell Allen Brumley, 50, of Bartlesville, died at 4:41 P.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 following an extended illness.
Memorial services for Mr. Brumley will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Brumley was born in Bartlesville on March 29, 1962 the son of Earline L. (VanAtta) and Wyman Dale Brumley. He grew up and received his education in Kansas City, Missouri, Emporia, Kansas and El Dorado, Kansas where he graduated from high school in 1980. He entered the U.S. Army and during that career he served in Germany. Following his Honorable Discharge he was employed at the Lyon County Sheriff's Office in Emporia, Kansas. He then attended Labette County Community College in Parsons, Kansas where he received his Associate of Arts degree. He came to Bartlesville until moving to Biloxi, Mississippi where he was a caregiver until being forced to relocate by Hurricane Katrina. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he received a degree in computer sciences. He returned to Bartlesville in 2009 and had been employed as part of the wait staff at Sterlings Grille.
Survivors include three sons, Cory Lee Allen Brumley (Matlock) of Hartford, Kansas, Christopher Brumley and Casey Brumley both of Winfield, Kansas, two step daughters, Crystal Lawrence Allen of New Strawn, Kansas and Jennifer Lawrence West of Burlington, Kansas, his previous wife, Vanessa Chatman of Burlington, Kansas, his mother, Earline L. Brumley of Bartlesville, one brother, Michael Dale Brumley of Bartlesville, one sister, Shelly Dianne (Brumley) Reid of San Antonio, Texas, five grandchildren, William, Grace, Seth, Aiden and Jesiah, and six step grandchildren, Uriah, Raven, Addison, Byron, Kaydee and Dathan. He was preceded in death by his father in 2007, his grandparents, and a nephew, Christopher Michael Brumley in 2003.
