MIDWEST CITY Robert James Bruehl, born Oct 29, 1946 to Martin James Bruehl & Lydia Stottman in Norman, died Aug 20th of lung cancer.
He graduated Crooked Oak High School, joined the US Army in 1965, and served in Special Forces.
After his honorable discharge, Bob was a bricklayer and cabinet builder. He owned Oklahoma Millwork and Oklahoma Cabinets. He was an active member of St. Joseph Old Cathedral parish, and was a founding member of the parish Chapter of Knights of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Alfred & Steve Bruehl; & stepfather J.B. Foote.
He is survived by his mother Lydia Bruehl Foote; sister-in-law Sandy Bruehl; brothers and their wives, Frank & Jan, and Mike & Faith Bruehl; brothers of the heart Daryl Walker, Jack Lane, & Ted Smith; his children, Sheryn Bruehl, Treisa & Dewayne Denwalt, David Bruehl, Jessica & Scott Haskett, Stormi & Chris Rice; grandchildren Kelsey Bruehl, Dalton & Carson Denwalt, Ezekiel & Abraham Bruehl, Molly Haskett, Jordan, Mason & Bryton Rice; many nieces & nephews, and a host of business associates and friends whom he loved dearly.
Our utmost gratitude to Roni Grimes & Valir Hospice for their kindness and generosity in our father's final days.
Wake service 7pm Wed, Aug 24th, Funeral Mass at 9:30 am Thurs, Aug 25th, both at St. Joseph"s Old Cathedral 307 NW 4th St, OKC. Viewing Tues & Wed at Barnes-Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd, MWC.
