Arthur “Art” Nelson Browning, Sr., 74, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, November 8, 2020, in Moore. The son of Arthur Melton Browning and Wanette Lindsey (Fountain) Browning, he was born September 14, 1946 in Blanchard.
Art was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and owned and operated A & B Welding for over thirty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, building things out of metal, and going to concerts. He loved dogs and took in many strays. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Doylene Stover; two nephews, Justin Stover and Jaden Stover; and one niece, Shelley Stover.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Butler and her husband, Josh, of Oklahoma City and Kelly Lemon and her husband, Jay, of Edmond; two sons, Art “Big-O” Browning, Jr. and his wife, Stacey, of Texas and Austin Browning and his wife, Ashtin, of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren; two nephews, Joe Stover and his wife, Trish, of Moore and Terry Stover of Norman; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Pine Tree Golf Course in Dibble. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 405 Animal Rescue at www.405animalrescue.org. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
