She was born June 28, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Adalbert and Helen (Smogolecki) Polcyn.
She married Matthew A. Browne, Jr. on June 30, 1951 in Topeka, KS and they shared 50 years together before Matthew's passing in January of 2002.

McMenamin; brother, Albert Polcyn; a host of other relatives and numerous quilting friends.
The family would like to thank Buena Vista Nursing Center for their dedicated and compassionate care shown to Phyllis.
A prayer service for Phyllis will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 23, 2009.
