Dr. Brown Dies Today; Rites Friday
A practicing dentist for 32 years in Chickasha, Dr. William Kelly Brown, 317 1/2, Chickasha Avenue, died about 9 am today in Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Brown was rushed to the hospital late Monday afternoon after city patrolmen had to force their way into his combination office and living quarters and found him in a state of unconsciousness.
He had not been seen for several days and when a party arrived for an appointment they found the door locked and officers were summoned.
Dr. Brown was a dentistry graduate of Iowa University and had also attended Drake University in Des Moines. He was born April 8, 1887, in Davenport, Iowa., and came to Chickasha in 1932.
He is survived by a brother-in-law, Chester A. Bird of Davenport. Funeral service for Dr. Brown will be at 10:30 am Friday in the chapel of Sevier's Funeral Home. Rev. Jerold McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport Iowa.
